Frequently Asked Questions

Is my file uploaded to any server?

No. Morphify works 100% in your browser. All conversion happens locally using WebAssembly and Canvas. Your files never leave your device.

What file size can I convert?

There is no artificial limit from our side. The only limit is your browser's memory and processing power. For most users 100–300 MB videos and large images work fine.

Why does video to GIF conversion take time?

GIF creation involves palette generation and frame processing — it's computationally heavy. On slower devices or very long videos it may take 10–60 seconds.

Does MOV conversion always work?

We use stream copy (-c copy) for speed. It works perfectly if the input codec is compatible with MOV container (most MP4 files are). If you get an error, the codec may not be supported without re-encoding.

Can I use Morphify offline?

After the first visit, most assets (including FFmpeg.wasm) are cached. You can use basic image conversion offline. Video conversion needs the full WASM load.

Is there a dark mode?

The site is already in dark mode by design — we believe it looks better and is easier on the eyes for creative tools.

How can I support the project?

If you find Morphify useful, you can buy me a coffee via the Donate button in the navbar. Every support helps keep the project alive and improving.
